MINNEAPOLIS, MN, September, 2016 – Verterra Energy, Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of two new members to its Advisory Board; Chad Bannick, and Adrien Avellan.
Chad Bannick is the CEO and co-founder of DC HydroPower Ltd. based in Rwanda, a socially motivated renewable energy development company with a focus on small hydropower throughout East Africa. He has grown the company’s project portfolio to 11 hydropower projects and raised more than 20 million USD in grants and equity investment.
Prior to his work in Rwanda, he worked for 6 years in the US banking and financial sector for Citigroup Inc. of which 4 years were spent in management. He holds a B.Sc. in Business Administration from Arizona Christian University. Chad provides valuable insights on the hydro market in developing countries.
Adrien has an extensive background in hydro power plants upgrade projects; Measurement chain design, design of signal amplification and specific grounding techniques, Field installation and calibration, data Analysis. Hydropower plants failure analysis; mechanical- electrical failure analysis, microscopic instrumentation techniques, use of SEM for mechanical failure investigation.
His clients include: New York Power Authority, Tennessee Valley Power Authority, US Army Corps of Engineers and privately owned power plants worldwide. Adrien advises Verterra on deployment and retrieval of V-PODs.
